Should I buy Brink or MAG?

I know IGN and gamespot trashed brink in their reviews but I don't really care. My only concern is whether many people will still be playing brink online after a while. If not very many people will be playing after a while, then I won't get it. I want customization, so don't tell me to get something else, and DEFINITELY dont tell me to get black ops.
