Problem with diamond tetras...?

I recently purchased some diamond tetras and they seem to be doing okay. The only problem is that their upper lip is somehow getting injured or there is some sort of problem. I noticed that the upper lip was turning pale yesterday and now one of the tetra's upper lip is almost gone! Everything else is fine, they seem to be eating, fins look good. Have anyone else experienced this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
