Heater problem: should I change the control board?

If you are certain the problem is in the board, then you need to replace it. You cant field repair it, unless you know how to work with circuit boards and you can get the parts from the manufacturer to repair it (which you cant!) If you want to be sure your problem is in the board you should call an HVAC tech so you don't go changing parts that aren't defective.
