Help overlord 360!!!!?

I'm in the ruborian desert. There are these stupid worm things coming out of the ground and it always eats my minions! Even if i move off the sand and into the ground patches. I'm on the part where you are chasing jewel again (i already whent through the blaster bugs ) and can carry 35 minions but that stupid worm thing always kills them all!!! I have that stupid beer kettle but they still die. I need some serious help.
