GROWING UP Cheetah?

i watch growing up......on animal planet when they raise these animals in captivity and then take the babies away from their mothers at 4 weeks old.... does this bother anyone else?.. i thinks it's mean, and confusing for mother. i know it's nessarry but still those are HER babies.
